Definitely varies but supply planning and demand planning are the most common. Inventory would more likely be called inventory management rather than planning

I think of DP/IP/ RP or SP, but I don't think there's one universal definition
Depends on the organization. Usually firms separate transportation and materials planning functions so that’s the only one I would say usually isn’t generally included in “planning”
FYI, context:
I was quizzed today by the clients VP of Operational Excellence on some "technical" details of the Plan for Every Part "PFEP" and while I did answer correctly I struggled for a moment. And then was told I need to brush up on my Planning knowledge.
I didn't want to sound dumber or risk insulting him by asking which planning he meant. I think PFEP is considered part of inventory management though...
This is helpful thank you. I am familiar with PFEPs and their uses. I just never stopped to think as to where they fit in the traditional supply chain models.
