They want people to leave. That’s by design. They don’t care where they go.
I read it. I’m just reiterating it, cause it sucks to believe. It’s 12:02am PST and why am I still working on deck updates… no one gives a mad f how you got it done. Just DO IT.
Burn out for us, hate your life and we’ll remove any perks of the job that made it enjoyable. Now dance.
Unfortunately your core point is the economy - that really is a fear for those working. Knowing the state of it, the uncertainty and company readiness to cull, people will do what people do - survive. Working as hard as they can to weather the storm to ensure they have a place.
At its size, it is also too big to just flop instantly. They’ll just cut more and sell off more agencies or divisions or at worse scenario another major merger (but much further down the line).
It’s certainly not impacting the decisions or bonuses at the top.
People who are afraid to lose jobs will capitulate. The more expensive and less productive folks will stay unemployed for a long time. Super industrious people will start small shops and bite at the holding companies ankles.
