It sounds like you've reached and likely crossed that line, my dear. You say you don't want to leave, but what's keeping you there?
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with me. This insight is very helpful!! You’re right, that’s definitely the right question for me to be asking myself! 💕
Knowing your own worth is number one. Holding on to try to outlive or change hearts and minds of leaders who don’t see and include or value your contribution is a waste of your energy, after a point in time. There are companies/leaders that will look at what you’ve done and value what you have to offer. It’s hard to imagine it in the thick of things, but it’s true. Go where you are wanted and make your mark. It’s a great job market.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with me. This insight is very helpful!! I love the word you used “outlive.” Very eye opening to me, for sure. I like the idea of being open to finding a place where my experience is wanted. Thank you for this encouragement! 💕
It's toxic. It can be easy to hold on to that hope that things will change, but you've seen what you're going to get from them. And you know it's not good for you. It will take bravery to leave and move out of your comfort zone, especially if they have been trying to coerce you to stay with their empty promises. But I promise when you get out of there and find somewhere better, you'll be wishing you had done it sooner.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with me. This insight is very helpful!! You make such a good point that the behaviors I’ve seen are already not congruent, so that’s what I need to be looking at instead of the promises they keep making. Thank you so much for this encouragement to start looking elsewhere 💕
Sounds toxic to me. Once something becomes a pattern, especially in the workplace, it can be really hard to change without a replacement of management. It sounds like your leaders aren't interested in helping the team grow, and are more interested in self-promotion. You know what they say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice can't put the blame on you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with me. This insight is very helpful!! Such a good point you make about patterns. They’ve shown their colors and it’s time for me to choose something that aligns better with my value of growth mentality. Thank you for this encouragement to trust my instincts! 💕
Sounds like you have your answer. You can try having a sit-down with your leaders, but we are all adults. I am sure they know what's going on.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with me. This insight is very helpful!! It’s so interesting this idea of them knowing what they are doing. That really hits home for me. It would explain some of the absent management if they knew and are just feeling some of that dissonance too. They definitely have read all the same leadership books as me, so I think you’re right. I think they know the culture they’ve created, which then shows clearly where the priorities are. Thank you for this thought! 💕
