Idk your geography but ZS holds much higher esteem in my mind in US.
I mean, in the last 2 months I’ve been in two meetings where we presented to the CEO (two separate clients) so I’d say we do have interaction with C suite especially if you are in the emerging pharma group, value and access, or pipeline and launch strategy.
Also there’s plenty of travel if you find the right group and projects. In 2019 I went to 4 countries outside the US for meetings or workshops.
There’s also a fair amount of non interesting travel but they are generally day trips or two day trips (depending on your geography).
Rising Star
Sounds like ZS is the better choice overall. I’d actually question the “RB has a better reputation” part and argue the vast majority of business people in the US have no clue who RB is, and a higher percentage has at least heard of ZS.
Agree with this, I think ZS has a stronger reputation.
Multiple people have told me RB hours are absolutely brutal
And OW hours are better? Curious.
Joinned in March and so far I'm loving the culture. Besides that, the company is growing a lot so it seems a good choice right now.
To me, it seems like a no brainer to go with zs.
Don’t see an argument for RB if the pay is lower.
I’ve never heard of Roland Berger but can confirm ZS is great
Are you US or EU based? That changes the reputation factor significantly. Especially if you're in Germany.
Then ZS
We definitely have good access to C suite clients and access to senior partners. We’re also pretty strong in the industrials/chemicals/automotive and manufacturing spaces if that interests you. The hours we work are definitely very long. We do have a great office culture though!
I’m a generalist. Pretty representative I’d say
