I did work on a project with an amazing team and we had a great time even on Zoom.
It was really a great combination of our characters, all of us got sh1t done, and had a very compatible sense of humor.
I used to love my team on my previous project. We used to have tea breaks/snacks breaks everyday over zoom (15 min).
It was a hardworking bunch of folks. Our manager had to ask us to take breaks and not do everything the client was asking us to do.

During my consulting days… Booz &co

Most of the team is enjoyable. Large oracle implementation and multiple subcontractors. Somehow we’ve been really aligned on goals and things have been smooth
That’s really nice and lucky

I do! Plenty of roles like that at Slalom. These things are more so project dependent than firm dependent.
I was at Deloitte for 5 years before I came here. I’d say the project I’m on now is better (people, type of work, etc) than about 9 of the ~10 projects I did at Deloitte.
Rising Star
This project is awesome for a variety of reasons:
1. My Slalom teammates are awesome. All very nice, know what they’re talking about, go above and beyond to mentor me. I could go on, but you get the point.
2. The subject of my project is the best part. Not going to disclose the specifics so I don’t doxx myself, but it’s implementing a cutting edge technology at an F500. I’m learning a ton and hope to stay in this domain.
3. The client team is VERY nice, trust us to execute, see things from our point of view when they’re asking for something we can’t deliver on, etc.
Basically it checks all the boxes. I’m going to be so sad when it’s over lol.
However, to be clear, I’m saying the specific project is what really matters, not the firm. I had a project or two like this at Deloitte as well. Another firm easily could have won this work instead of us.
Me! I work for zoom, and they're the best!
No :(
My team is awesome, Architecture (Construction/Facilities) and I work with engineers, CM's and an extended team of Contractors, PgM's and owners (They dont count). Our meetings are cool, productive and funny, whether on zoom or in person. We meet, often exceed, deadlines and have fun while doing it.
I do too. There was one project that wasn’t as fun out of the many I’ve been on. How long have you been here and how many projects have you been on?
I do! I'm part of Salesforce GGP, and they're pretty great. :) I'm still on my first project, but they're pretty good people! I love figuring out how stuff works and should work, and that's my job, so win/win!
I'm... not thrilled with my PL, though, so I'm going to put out some feelers to try and maybe get moved under someone else? I don't know.
Health policy consultant. Challenging work, but I love what I do and my coworkers are the best. Amazing company culture, and after several years of grinding, I am more self-paced than the go-getters. Pay is great and I’m in no rush for the next tax bracket.
Also I can’t imagine going through an abusive marriage and now separation in any other high paying career without the support of my company and colleagues.
I could leave my company for industry and make a lot more but the work-life balance, true friends, and interesting work is worth it for now.
I guess I still consider myself a health policy consultant but I do life sciences consulting (quite different)
Me. I was actually quite happy at slalom but hopped over to a client that I also really enjoyed working.
👋
I applied and they said yes.
Yes to all
