Why do Amazon Salesforce and other tech all insist on using Workday when applying? Honestly one of the worst systems to ever be implemented into the hiring process.

I just got an automated rejection email from another company’s Workday system, from a job I applied for more than 2 years ago.

Very effective!
I swear it’s a weeding-out practice lol do you have the patience to enter your information 5 times? Great you can move forward in the process
Honestly Workday is so horrific that I'm really amazed that it has the chokehold it does on the tech industry! There's no good talent management system at the moment....

Literally everyone uses it and I can’t figure out why. Mostly for the analytics people I guess but deters a lot of people from applying when they have to constantly enter the same info time after time.
Enterprise software is designed for bean counters, not end users
Yeah, that’s the first part of the capabilities measurement, lol

“Who will drink the most kool aid when they get here” measurement*
Ohana it just means more…
Yes agreed. It was an ironic joke. They shouldn’t be saying family and then drop 7k people. Don’t talk about values / culture and then totally drop them when it’s convenient. If I worked there it would make me really say f this place I’ll milk the paycheck and do what I want as your word means nothing.
I wouldn’t even apply to a job here if you don’t have a referral…

Referrals is how we got to mass layoffs across tech. Friends hiring unqualified friends . 2+ years of watching Netflix and making “day in the life” videos for TikTok when finally back in the office. Notice how every company that did layoffs is operating just fine. What were all those people doing…?
Read OP’s responses in this thread lmao stay mad

Another round of layoffs in the coming months. Ohana!!!! Twitter started a waterfall for you guys this year. As layoffs continue, there’s less need for overpriced tech stacks. Companies can compete with salesforce now for less. Too many friends hiring during Covid, lead to a lot of incompetence in the workplace. Benioff is a joke on Wall Street now
Because it’s in the “cloud” and my organization doesn’t want to spend money on improving our HR solution we bought. Sadly workday could be crushed easily by SAP, but not the priority.
Lol no it can’t, otherwise it would’ve been
