Why do clients hire firms like ours for PMO work? The project I’m on feels like I’m just a secretary using none of my skills or education. Surely they could get someone else to do it for much less than we’re charging. Is it just brand name?

What sort of knowledge transfer and contractual framework do you get the client to agree to and how do you negotiate on that? I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
