Best recruiters for strategy/ planning. Go.
Got an interview request from Amazon for Sr. Digital Marketing Manager. I have been interviewed by and worked for multiple big names like Mcafee, Meta, Microsoft but never by Amazon. I’m wondering how’s their hiring process, what kind of questions and tasks are waiting for me, how many steps are there etc.
Thank you in advance, everyone!

I think it’s to also confirm that you are still at a firm and not in between jobs; one time reached out to a recruiter via personal email who left me on read until he tried this stunt. Haven’t contacted/spoken with him since.
Any type of sales is easier when speaking than over text. You work phone number is available. Cell phones usually aren’t. And when they are people tend to find calls to their cell as an invasion of privacy.
9/10 times when they call someone, they follow up with an email asking if there’s a better time to set a call. That will be to your work email, which is likely no better. They might send you a LinkedIn, but most people don’t answer those. If they get you live, they ask if there’s a better number to reach you.
Connecting with you even briefly on the phone works out a lot better than an email for the recruiter. You’d also be surprised how many attorneys will talk during work and how long some of them will talk.

That’s the number they have access to. You can give them your cell phone if you’d prefer to speak that way or just say you’re not interested. Not a big deal.
Most normal recruiters will leave you alone, at least for a few months if not longer if you tell them or email them you are not interested. We aren’t looking for the candidates who aren’t interested. We’d prefer to filter out the not interested candidates. We are looking for the candidates who are open to talking and that are thinking of moving but it’s hard to know that unless we speak with you. A two minute phone call where you tell us what you are interested in (or that you aren’t interested) is extremely helpful for us. I also get the calls (and other forms of reach outs) are annoying to attorneys, especially if you aren’t looking to move.

Most just shut their door. I have candidates take zoom interviews from their office.
Recruiters do cold calls bc it works. I made $100K from a 5 minute cold call and a next day submission. Very much worth it to me and the candidate who got a signing bonus.

That’s the nature of cold call. Dialing numbers they bought from some listing (which probably was scrubbed from firm website) is pretty standard.
OP - I would rather a recruiter cold call or message on LinkedIn than email my work email where the firm can see.
