Hello All, I have been selected in the interview at NTT DATA and also submitted documents as requested by Recruiting HR. However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. On email follow up with HR, he said he is on it and will come back to me soon for further process. Any views.NTT DATA

Thinking through this a bit more, and without knowing specifically how your visa works, I referred about ten people on h1bs when I came to kpmg. I actually reached out to the recruiters for a couple of the higher performers and was told that they wouldn’t sponsor =\
Edit: this was a bit over two years ago into lighthouse

Please don’t be the guy that makes me take another ethics/compliance training
^^ wish... but it’s true
This is against the law. They cannot reject a candidate on EAD, unless it’s for a federal project that needs US person ( GC/ USC).
^^ yup they are rejecting candidates based on this citing that it is dependent on H1 and business does not want to take the chance. They rejected me twice. I was previously on H1 and moved to H4EAD. No other practice is doing this only SAP.
If you have the right to work, don’t let anyone take it away. Call and report KPMG

OP, not really a recruitment issue. This is recruiter on behalf of KPMG denying your right to work in this country. I would call that number on the e-verify website and report this. You can also let the recruiter know you are going to report it. You can also consult with an employment attorney.
Do you have this documented ?
on call yes but they are clever not to give in writing.
Isn’t SAP an audit client? Our SAP practice is pretty small no?
I can’t imagine the rationale (at any firm) where a qualified candidate, that is preferred above all other candidates, would be rejected *because of* a visa/EAD. In no way is it in any firms interests to seek out clerical reasons to decline hiring the most qualified person for the job. In my view, if the team/firm wanted you, you would be hired.
^^ i know folks on commercial side on H1. But recruiter was interested till I told him about visa. And no client has no reqs where visas could not work.
Who do I talk to get past this? I am so frustrated right now. 🤦🏻♀️
P1 - right. We have such a small SAP shop. We audit them apparently and really limits our ability to deliver implementation work on SAP gigs. I could be wrong - but this is why I think we’re not investing in that business as much as Oracle
Do they even hire H1s in their SAP practice OP? When I was looking for options last year, they weren’t.
they have H1 in their practice. I know a few.
Wait I’m confused, from googling H4EAD is for spouses of H1B holders? Most of the big 4 no longer hire or sponsor H1B so I don’t understand. Keep in mind the loss of sponsorship is something that happened within the last few years, I remember PwC return interns being thrown into limbo one year. Means that there are more than a few H1B holders in the company but they are no longer hiring more

To K2’s point, IIRC PwC US recently either halted or severely curtailed visa sponsorship for entry level positions and strongly discouraged those candidates for experienced roles except by exception, as changes from the Trump administration meant that they expected enough visa applications would be denied by the government for it to significantly impede hiring. Sponsorship for existing employees has continued.
Getting Trump and Stephen Miller out of the White House will immediately help the immigration situation in the US, but even getting close to where things were in 2016, where USCIS was at best dysfunctional, may take a while.
