Will big 4 offers be rescinded given the economic outlook of the U.K.? Have an offer for gov/defence consulting

I have a BSc degree from a semi-target university in the United Kingdom, and I currently have around 2 years of strategy consultancy experience at a Big 4 in one of Africa's most competitive economies. I'm looking to step into consulting in Dubai/ Abu Dhabi (MBB, Tier 2, boutiques, etc.).

Leaving Big 4 after one year, is it a mistake? There is a local firm that focuses on SOX Optimization and Model Validation reports, and it seems like that work would be much more fulfilling than audit

Got offered 115K with 25-30% bonus for a fund accountant role with 3 years of public experience. Is that normal? Seems like really high. I live in NY to clarify. Combination of Big 4 and midsize experience. What’s the normal salary range for ppl in that range?

For those in big 4, how much time between accepting an offer and start date have you been able to ask for? Is a month feasible/how should one phrase it? Two weeks just doesn’t feel like enough with this heavy burnout/having to wrap up deals at old firm

If you come in as a SM into Big 4, what are the chances you’ll make MD? Is preference usually given to those with tenure? I don’t know any MD who has been at their firm for less than 15 years tbh

Is it easier going from Senior Accountant to FP&A or straight from Big 4 Audit. Just trying to figure out what route to take. Also what is a good salary for a Senior Accoutant? MCOL, CPA, B4 Audit - 2 yrs

I’m in my 2nd year in audit. I want to pivot into management consulting within a big 4 or MBB. Has anyone seen someone make this lateral movement? I’m not sure how feasible that is and what steps to take. I’m also down to discuss further with whoever is comfortable in connecting.

Summer intern at BCG. I've been told by a few people that you need to spend your first few cases "earning your stripes" to gain staffing optionality or be servile/loyal to a pyramid to gain access to the cooler case work within that PA. It's seemed particularly emphasized at times.

KPMG requiring client facing colleagues to work together for 2 days in the office and only spend '1 or 2 days wfh'....erm that works out as 3 days in the office?

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. I want to wait until I hit the one year mark before making a decision on whether Consulting is for me or not. Curious to hear from other experienced hires..how is/was your first year?

I was doing some googling and I saw that PWC offers MBA hires 45k in comparison to MBBs at 70k +. Is this a bad joke? I can't imagine that PWC's target for MBA hires is widely different from MBB. In the US, the pay gap isn't that wide. Any reason behind this madness?
