Worked at Google 5 years remote. Left. Rejoined Google. Been here 30 days. Submitted a medical accommodation to be fully remote and it was denied. Now on unpaid leave, with 60 days to find a new role.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. Got a verbal confirmation for an offer from recruiter. Now she is negotiating my pay with the compensation team instead of me. I thought I had to do the negotiations with that team?
