Working for security at the Boeing facility for Allied had to be one of the worst experiences of my life.
First off they use very few flex officers. This means that your "full time" officers are utilized way more often than they should with mandatory overtime. The pay while good when I first started only increased by a dollar for unarmed and armed postions. Speaking on the armed postions they are far and few between with only 3 of them at the time of my leaving.

Should you be sharing these security vulnerabilities so openly at a federal contractor? I was told that foreign agencies are always looking for people to “turn” and you are basically telling them where to focus.

like

I can sympathize with your disillusionment, it does sound like a lousy work environment. Forcing people into mandatory overtime is a great way to kill morale and push out good employees. Having said that, you probably should be more discreet when discussing security issues. I assume you're not saying enough to create a substantive problem, but it's still good to lean toward discretion.

Disregard the title rockstar grill operator, I worked for allied universal for 2 1/2 years and found the most success when I engaged with management as little as possible. Fuck that company

Yeah, I’ve always heard the money at Boeing is great but job security isn’t a thing. And the culture at Boeing is lacking. I’ve never known anybody who’s worked at bowling more than a few months. That actually likes their job. You pretty much have to be in it for the paycheck.

Just Boeing doing Boeing things, has that company ever been talked about in a positive light? Good riddance, I'm happy you were able to get out of there. Sounds like a terrible work environment.

You aren't the first person I have heard this from actually. My brother worked there several years ago and had all the same things to say as you. He also said the environment and culture weren't really great there so he left and went somewhere else. Sorry you had that experience though.
