Got a job offer from Standard Chartered Bank recently. Went through 4 rounds of interview and got an email saying I’ve been selected but they said it’ll take about 2 weeks to come out with even just a verbal offer? Is this common across banks in Singapore or are they just stringing me along?

My colleague is going on maternity leave for 4 months and I was asked to cover some of her projects which are step up in responsibility than what I’m currently operating at. Some peers have suggested I ask for a raise to accommodate this but I’m not sure I agree as I’m only covering her while she’s out? What are others thoughts about this?

The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling.
