My job recently got downgraded from full time to part time back in September. I’ve been casually applying to roles that genuinely interest me, but I get rejection after rejection with no interview. A friend told me about a hotel front desk job that pays $19/hour but I was in a supervisory role that made $23-25/hour. How desperate should I be?
For greater context, I have an MBA and am completing a cert in product management next week.I have an operations/hr/customer service background.

Good evening Everyone, I have been a PSR for 10 years with the same company, but worked for 5 different practices. What’s the consensus on tattoos in the insurance workplace? I’m in leadership and considering exploring my options due to recent personnel changes. I work remote and have arm sleeves, and any time I would be in-person I’d of course wear a long sleeve shirt to be professional, but worry about a cuff rolling up and tattoos being somewhat visible. Nothing is offensive by any means.

For people who love reading technical books on software architecture, design, programming languages and frameworks, etc - what do you read your books on, paper or screen? I find ebooks convenient for most of the things as it is easier to search for notes and annotations. On the other hand, paper books are a great companion by the desk for a quick reference.

My manager had been saying some REALLY over the line stuff in standup meetings. Truly inappropriate details about his sexuality and also some stuff about my religion etc. We (the software developers) told HR. They spoke to him and he stopped being a weirdo but the company never addressed it further with us. Is that normal? I’ve never been a part of an HR investigation before and I don’t know what to expect
I filed an ethics complaint in early June, and after going up the chain and calling out nothing was done on it, and I was being gaslighted/my personal life being used to show I am the problem in early October, I met with the execs in Ethics. The initial meeting, they gaslighted me, and then tone was better in the second meeting. Now 2-3 weeks later, General Counsel wants to see me. What should I do? Should I be worried? I have sought counsel outside of the company. This is huge fintech company.
