“Yeah John, after our spans and layers assessment we recommend doing a 2800 person RIF. Oh and we can offer them free subs and recommend they buy our products at the employee discount rate as a perk to not sue us while still increasing the top line.” - McKinsey EM. John response, “Brilliant guys. That’s why we pay you $5mm”

Ah yes, the McKinsey Way
I mean if Deloitte fired me and gave me a one year subscription to Office 365 and Deloitte PPT Tools it would soften the blow. So much free time and so many nice slides that could be made just for meeeeee!

Dead 💀🤣🤣🤣
Not even one of the top 10 worst things McKinsey has done…. So there’s that

Lol the face on that poor woman. “I could’ve gotten a 5 figure severance, but they gave me a peloton subscription instead”
“Use our service so you can run your butt out of here a little faster”

That’s like rubbing salt on the injuries. Good that I did not buy their equipment.
I agree it’s salt in the wound but if they hadn’t gotten a free year people would be just as mad about that. “Cheap skates can’t even comp a year of my subscription after laying me off with no warning.” Can’t win either way.

Senior management at this company really spinning their wheels trying to turn the company around.
This is just to add insult to injury situation. Are they giving just subscription or Pelaton equipment as well to kick it regularly 😉

Would love to know what genius thought this made logical sense. They literally have idiots in executive leadership if they thought this was a wise move. McKinsey, I love you, but this is a god awful recommendation, respectfully.

Nice - low marginal cost benefits that likely can't be utilized... You can tell jaded consultants came up with that one
Great news: You’ll have a lot more time on your hands for well-being! Bad news: Income may be a challenge.
