My concern is that here in Indiana, I have taught in 3 different districts over 21 years in traditional high schools & have not ever had a student teacher or Practicum observer in my computer lab classroom. The last school I left for my current career center dropped the computer science courses I spent 10 years building and refining all together. No qualified CTE teachers available. 🤷‍♂️

I would love to start teaching and learning outside the classroom walls. I would like to start working with middle school U.S. SS classes in other parts of the US. I'm in NJ, let me know if interested

I teach 4th grade at a Christian school. I have been teaching for over 30 years but I have been at this school for 2 years. Since I have been working at this school it seems like everything I do in my classroom it's something wrong with it according to my supervisor. Recently, I was told that I am not getting a new contract for the new school year. I have to find a new school. I was told that I am not a good fit for the school.

I teach a 7th/8th grade self-contained classroom and I'm looking for recommendations on morning activities, transitions, and non-core subject matter.

I have a high level of ADD/ADHD students, so I was contemplating a Morning Meditation and/or Movement to help them focus more. I also would like to work on incorporating transition periods that will allow them to more easily convert to a six period schedule in high school.

What projects are working for you on a cart? So far, weaving and fiber is going great for me. It leaves little mess in their classrooms and doesn’t require a ton of supplies on my cart. Supplies are also inexpensive.

So I’m in my second trimester. Everything has come back normal and great. Anatomy scan went beautifully. Now I’m getting cramps really low in my left side that I would say are like a 6-7 on pain scale and they’re like every few minutes. Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.
