Bonus. I am a 4th year Associate in a smaller firm (15 attorneys) located in a major city. In 2020, I billed 100 hours over my annual requirement (1,900) and brought on new clients as OA. I received positive feedback in my last review. I was told my bonus is to be $6k. I am grateful to recieve a bonus but I am frustrated with the amount, other firms in my area give out double that w/ lower hours. Discuss this with my mentor partner? Or just let things be to avoid upsetting the partners?

Is $80K CAD in Toronto a comfortable salary for a senior associate in downtown? I do have a significant other but I want to live alone. Biggest expense other than housing is my car

A little confused by promotion track. Looking at McKinsey U.K. LinkedIn, it seems a fair number of people go BA -> associate after 2 years. Comparing to glassdoor, apparently the salary at associate is £87k

Offer 1: t2/3 strategy, 150-170 all in consulting
Offer 2: M&A associate at big 4 (80K)

I’m really keen on VC, been working with start ups for a year or two, love it. I see that as my end goal or an investment role of some kind. I see offer 1 best comp but can’t help but realize banking is a more true path to VC, albeit ill likely need to lateral into a tmt group for a year at a big bank but it’s possible. @PwC interviewed me for Manager role in workday practice and came back with an offer for Sr. Associate role with a far less base salary than what I am making now. Is it a routine negotiation trick ? Overall 13+ years of experience but new in WD. However WD FIN and PM certified.

Anyone know what the salary should be for a first year associate working at the biggest defense firm in Florida? I just got offered this month at a north Florida branch and not sure whether this is a good salary:
$80k
$12 per hour quarterly bonus after hitting 150 billable hours.

I’ve heard some defense associates have a set quarterly bonus it doesn’t seem to be the case at this firm.

I’m currently practicing at a small firm doing various forms of litigation/corporate work. My fiancé and I are looking to move from the NYC/NJ area to a rural area in the south this year. I’ve received a conditional offer for an associate position at a small real estate firm, which is great. But, it’s about half of my current salary. I understand it’s different region, but I feel the offer is disproportionately less, even when considering cost of living. Anyone else ever do this? Any advice?

Is it a lateral move from Deloitte Consultant to PWC Senior Associate?

For context, I was up for promo last year but it was rescinded due to covid. SC promotion is “all but guaranteed” this cycle 🙄. I know PWC has an extra level with the new SM role so not sure if I’d be lateraling to SA3 from C at D? It’s a 40% base comp increase but just curious what the outside perception is... currently 3YOE, top right scatterplot. I’m thinking I could make M in a year or so but is that like SC at D??
