Who gets paid the best in an ad agency, account, planner or creative? Do all 3 roles get similar compensation? (comparing roles of the same seniority e.g. planning director vs account director vs creative director)

Are there creative teams with different seniority level out there? Not just salary but one junior one midweight for example. Thank you!

my “friend” got lesser raise than normal. It’s suddenly becoming a problem that my salary band is higher than hers and the fact I got promotion this month even when we worked at different company and industry. I suddenly got comments like you make so much money. You shouldn’t complain.. she started saying bad things about me. Tell me what else should i do to this kind of person besides cutting her off (which I already did)? Welcome any creative solutions.

Does anyone have creative solutions to sharing WFH space with spouse? We have desks in what was once a formal dining area (no doors) - but we are both on calls a lot (at the same time, with no noise insulation) and the setup does not have ideal backgrounds for video conferencing. We want to be able to work ergonomically without always running to the bedroom to take a call. I know we’re not alone! Room dividers? Sound absorbing panels? Any other ideas? Bonus for inspiration pictures!

A tech firm reached out, and I had a 30-min call with a CD. Went well and I agreed to more interviews. Turns out the next round is a “4-hour panel WebEx interview”. Their creative dept isn’t well established, so is it wrong for me to politely say “4 hours is a big investment, can we briefly chat about salary range, title, etc”? I kinda don’t want to go down this road for a lateral title and who-knows-what salary. If it was a better-known in-house shop, I’d go with the flow.

I recently got an offer for a producer role that I believe was too low b/c it involves working with devs, dev work myself, and has the combined responsibility of project management and production.

In search, "producer" yields much different results ($$ wise) from "project manager", and from "technical" + "producer/project manager"

I’m, technically, a Jr but being paid as a Mid because I had a great mentor who believed in me. I’m now moving on to an actual Mid role but have no idea if I should ask for a higher salary because if I do, I’ll basically be asking for close to a Sr Creative’s salary.
