Does anyone have experience at General Dynamics specifically their Mission Systems sector? Currently getting recruited for a senior systems engineer position.


Pros: pay increase around 50k+ bonuses
Cons, would have to relocate (I live at home and pay 300 rent), rent in San jose is looking at 2k

Anybody in San Antonio willing to share their salary? I work for a small construction company (around 100 employees) and position doesn’t really have a title other than I work in HR. I have an HR manager. I do payroll, on boarding, off boarding, recruitment, I’m in charge of the company cell phones, benefit enrollments, manage the website, recruiting/job postings and screen resumes. I have been doing this three years at the company for 6 total, have a BBA and an MBA. I make $25/hr so $52k gross

I’m in my late 20s and live in San Francisco with roommates. I spend close to $1000 on food per month: $500 on groceries, $300 on restaurants, and $150 on doordash and $50 on coffee shops. I’m a female and don’t eat very much and I don’t think I’m spending unreasonably (5 take out orders, 10 coffees, 6 dinners per month), but $1k a month feels ridiculous. What do I do?

Help! Got an offer of 90 K plus a $5000 sign on bonus for a private tech company. Recruiter said $90k is the absolute max they will go, hence adding on the sign on bonus. Can I negotiate?? I’m worried about ruining it if I ask for $93k, and prob not much difference on a paycheck. They are headquartered in San Francisco. I’m based in Nashville which is crazy expensive now.

Would I be unreasonable to ask for a 7% increase the upcoming mid cycle after I got promoted to sc in Dec with a 10% increase currently making 78k, pushing for 83,500 with the 7%. Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.

I moved to San Antonio much bigger city from W Texas 2.5 years ago just all before the pandemic office closing - then moved to Wfh My reporting manager advised from w to office they would review my salary to reflect my new location. but my employer now 2 years later indicate that since I am a wfh employee they will not review my salary to make any change to reflect the move. Should I ask again about it?

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

What comp increase would you need to take to move from a market like Cleveland/Minneapolis/Pittsburgh to San Fran or NYC? Those random online calculators say almost 2x my current comp which is insane.

For attorneys working from home but barred in another state: I’m barred in FL and will be moving to CA so my wife can do her masters degree in San Diego. When working for a firm that allows fully remote work, and moving to another state, did the firm make you take the bar exam of that another state? I do securities work so it’s mostly federal and the CA ethics hotline said I don’t need to take the bar. Anyone had any different experiences or thoughts in this subject? Thanks.
