I start my journey of being more technical today. I am giving myself 2 yrs. I started a role doing IT controls, Identity and Access Management work. I have prior experience in UAT, business process controls (A-123). I am planning on passing the Security plus and CISSP certs within 2 yrs. Have a TS clearance. Any advice or reality check is welcome.
I will like to do cyber work in the Intelligence Community.

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

Do we got some good offers or its another certificate just to add to CV after so much of investment & time I don't want to get this wasted !!

I would really appreciate some suggestions for roles that I should be applying for. I recently started my MBA though I'm still having trouble landing interviews and think I should be applying for different roles than I have been. My MBA concentration is global business, my BS was in management with a minor in professional writing. I've been working in cosmetics mainly on the customer service side, currently senior support for the CS team and have experience doing CS on social media.

Career pivot into consulting? I've always been in a non client serving role and I just want that opportunity? Even completed an MBA and no luck. Too much experience in one area that am no longer interested on.

I am so excited at the opportunity to go to my first SHRM meeting!! Slowly but surely this HR door is cracking and I know I am getting in!!! 🥰

Can the group members please share their experience about the CFE exam? How many days of preparation does it require? What are some of the useful study resources?

What cert to go for next? Currently have AWS-SAA and Security+. Thinking about CISSP but how difficult is it compared to the AWS-SAA?

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

Need to know one thing urgently. Have attended lateral TCS interview and cleared TR and MR..But got to know in the MR round that my preferred base location they cant provide..So went ahead with it. HR discussion yet to happen.. In the meanwhile got another interview scheduled tomorrow frm TCS whose talent acquisition person told its a pan india location and any location can be provided...

Can anyone please let me know If I sit for the interview tomorrow will it cause any issue/not?

What are some aggressive ways to control your spending? I tried a little but of everything(paying myself first, only debit cards,cash) but seems like i have the urge to spend and i do so. Any tips?

Polling those willing to share. What is your OTE? And does your base comp ever increase based on performance or a merit increase?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I’ve been taking care of my extremely sick (literally on the verge of dying) dog. I work from home so it’s not too much of a nuisance but I feel distracted all day long and can hardly get anything done because I worry about my dog.
