Interview for a Business Analyst role at a large Hospital in the DC area. How much should I say I want for expected salary? Currently at 90k with 4yoe in consulting.

I have 12 years of IT experience in various roles as Oracle Developer , Production Support and recently IT Business Analyst .My entire experience is in Payments Domain .There is a Consulting Bridge Program for Infosys Technology Employees - where-in if you are selected then you can move to Infosys consulting from Infosys Technologies with appropriate Compensation. Can anyone advise what role and compensation I can expect for my role?Do they provide typical consulting role and should I move?

Feeling pretty lost on what im working towards.... currently succeeding as a business analyst in implementation, but really don’t enjoy the work. Seems like there is good money If I keep on the business analyst track. Just not sure what other areas a business analyst could pivot to, as even the good money isn’t a big enough reason to keep growing in this role. Good reviews, praise from client, etc. but just not looking to continue this path. Any suggestions?

It’s been 48 day since the layoff! I have had 2 interview. One was with Salesforce and I was supposed to be in the final round and then they put the position on Hold and another one was with a Pharma Client in Boston and they picked another person for the role... I’ve just been so stressed on when I could be employed again be stress free.. still looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst position if someone could recommend or refer me I’ll be really thankful.

McKinsey Friends - Two questions. If you came in after undergrad and spent 2 years at the BA level, what did your exit opportunities look like (I.e. position and pay wise?) If you didn’t exit after 2 years why did you take the Senior Business Analyst route v.s MBA route, and vice versa.

So I’m a second year consultant. Like most, I was disappointed with compensation this year and am pretty bearish on my future earning potential here. I’m currently interviewing with a big tech company (not FAANG but close) for a position with substantially higher pay as a business analyst. I really wanted to stay til SC/M but the money is too good to pass up. I guess my question is: are there any major downsides to exiting to industry “too early?” Has anyone done it and regretted it?

My current role is a Business Analyst. I am very comfortable interacting with people and also Ambiguity. Recently, I developed quite a lot of interest in Product management and I want to make a transition into this stream. I am completely aware that Business Analysis is different from Product Management. I started taking courses on Udemy to understand more about Product Management and also started reading books. I’m not sure how much I should be asking for salary when interviewing. 5 YOE business analyst/requirements analyst on federal software dev projects. In the DC area, no MBA. I’m making less than <$80k right now, but glassdoor & payscale say the average for someone in my role is $84k? I feel like my peers with similar background are making lots more than that. I’ve been giving recruiters a range of $90k-100k but not sure if I’m selling myself short? Any insight is appreciated!
