I am an expert path associate at McKinsey with 1.5 YOE + 6 YOE prior to McK. Expected 2022 TC = 200k base + 50-70k bonus. How should I position myself for (Sr) Director level jobs given my current tenure? I want to test the job market right now, but it seems like recruiters are reaching out for Sr Manager jobs with significantly less TC than what I’m making. Any tips on specific themes or types of experiences I should highlight for those positions would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone switch from consulting to commercial operations manager or above industry and have a general outlook on salary for such role?

I’m a data engineer/engineering manager by trade and massively screwed up by going into MBB consulting, I absolutely despise it and am looking to leave about 8 months in. I have a great offer from a fortune 50 for product management in tech at a similar salary, way more RSU’s but can’t shake off the thought that I wouldn’t be an engineer anymore. Any advice from you guys to help get past my anxiety and just pull the trigger?

Initially was referred for Strategy& manager and just got off the phone with the recruiter. Recruiter forwarded my S& contact to have me apply for PWC manager role when I clearly stated i was only interested in S& based on my current compensation and background.
Dont know if it is just a generic PWC manager role I was asked to apply or should i be concerned?
Background: 8 years post MBA. Currently director at CVS health. Previous experience at UHG and 2 years at Accenture.

I just got a reach out about building bots for the AI/Cognitive and according to the recruiter they're dumping massive cash into it. Asking for my SO. Please share thoughts on the below offer:

Offer: TC of $247k (185 base, 20% bonus, 25k/year RSU). Title bump from current role. Company is a retail company just outside F500 that is well known. Good WLB and manager is a former manager that my SO likes a lot. Work would be more interesting than current role.

Current role: TC of $180k (150 base, 30k/year RSU). E-commerce company that is just inside the Fortune 500. WLB is fluctuates a lot and toxic culture and colleagues.

I am a big 4 tax manager with 6 YOE. Just got an industry offer today as a tax manager. Fintech firm with 30% base increase plus bonus and equity. The money is tempting but as an ambitious career driven person, I am now second guessing myself. Would I have a successful career in industry? Or would it be better to stick it out and try to be a partner one day.

What’s total comp at A&M for a new manager? I they used to think they had amazing comp but ever since this ~15% pay bump in deals I don’t think they are as attractive.
