Hi fam! Received an Engagement Manager offer with AWS. What to expect in terms of comp? Any insights would be helpful. Happy to answer questions on the interview process thus far.
Texas 🐠 - what would you consider a good salary at a manager level in Texas? (Austin to be more specific). I’m currently in a HCOL city and I am negotiating my salary for a position in Austin but don’t want to aim too high because of what I’m currently used to and shoot myself in the foot for that. It’s an industry role - middle office.
Can anyone provide detail on the salary range for a Strategy and Analytics manager at McDonald’s? Thanks!
I just got promoted, compensation wasn’t what I expected but I’m not mad about.. However I was already planning on leaving consulting for a bit and go back to industry. I really like my manager who has been nothing but supportive so far so seeking advice on how to approach my two weeks notice discussion when 1- i’m in the middle of a busy project as a central key role 2- I just got a promotion. It seems ungrateful but I genuinely want to go back to tech without burning bridges
What is typical base and overall compensation for Corporate Strategy for f500 based in NYC? Currently a Manager with 7 years of consulting experience, no MBA.

Does anyone at Manager or above feel like they have already priced out? It seems like almost all salary estimates for job postings I qualify for are at best equal to what I’m earning. I always anticipated a bump when leaving but I’m not seeing how that will happen.

My friend just got an offer for an Cybersecurity Internal Audit Manager/VP role at a bank for $140k. Is this a good salary, he has 5 YOE all consulting in big4, lives in HCOL.
Big4s - anyone successfully negotiated a mid year raise? Current manager still upset over comp this year and curious if it has worked for anyone
MD (not direct manager) but work alongside them closely knows I’m unhappy and frustrated with role/comp. Has offered to be a reference if needed for external search. Some what rhetorical, but should I trust this person or should I be lips sealed until I find the next seat? Gut leaning toward stfu-ing
With MBA starting salaries/bonuses so high, why don’t more people leave public accounting to go that route? I’m a new manager in a low to mid COL area making $68k. I figured out that the cost of the MBA program plus foregone salary for 2 years would be $211k. I’d think I could more than make up for that. I wonder about their hours and flexibility compared to ours though.
Thinking of joining a 50 person D2C eCommerce startup in Los Angeles as a Product Manager. Shooting for 120-130K base and no equity. Thoughts on requesting a sign on / performance based bonus and whether it’s typical to ask?

I’m about to quit my job tomorrow and I’m racked with guilt. I love my team and it’s so busy right now, I got a promotion 6 months ago, and I feel deeply loyal to my company. However, the job offer is my dream with a 30% salary increase. How do I have this convo w my manager? This is my first full time job out of college and so I’ve never quit in a corporate environment. I shouldn’t feel this badly about it, right?

After 3 years of ex. audit I found a "commercial" role which focuses on business partnering and forecasting (which I'm interested in), not to mention a nice salary bump. A manager told me that it would be a bad career move, as I should be leaving for an accounting role out of audit before moving to something "commercial" to ensure I have experience doing month ends. He said that not having that would limit my career progression further down my career (CFO). Is his statement true?
FB program manager interview lined up, any guidance on how to prepare? Also, what's typical salary for program manager both base and total comp. TIA
What do you guys think of a Sales Strategy Manager at a Series D AI software company valued at $800M (top investors, well funded, 100%+YoY growth, large market). I’m 25M 3.5 YOE and don’t know if I want to be in “Sales”. I’ll be the only person in the company with a “strategy” title, and would hopefully parlay it into a Corp Dev // Chief of Staff role down the line. Thoughts on the role, trajectory, and potential comp?
This gets asked a lot, but could y’all give salary ranges for each rank (senior, manager, SM etc) in HCOL for Technology. I really have no good idea of the salary growth.

What's it like being an FS Consulting Director in London for Big 4? I'm ex-Accenture & industry Buy-Side and was a Director in both roles. Number of new clients? - What's the work life balance like at Director level? - What's it like competing with other Directors within the team, all vying for the Partner track? Particularly as I'm not ex-big 4 or homegrown -

I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
