What do you guys think of a Sales Strategy Manager at a Series D AI software company valued at $800M (top investors, well funded, 100%+YoY growth, large market).

I’m 25M 3.5 YOE and don’t know if I want to be in “Sales”. I’ll be the only person in the company with a “strategy” title, and would hopefully parlay it into a Corp Dev // Chief of Staff role down the line.

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).
