How long can you go without having anything to do before you get laid off?

All I want from an Account person is some kind of acknowledgement that what you’re asking me to do sucks. What would be GREAT is if you said “I tried to make it suck less. I told them _____, but they said ____.” Then we’d know you tried. But failing that, just “Hey sorry, this is lame, but they want ____.” We just want to feel like you’re on our side.

A recruiter from one of the Publicis houses reached out to me about an open position. I'm seeing positions I'd rather have in other Publicis houses. How can I leverage this contact to find the right recruiters for the job I want?

I just got called about a job on Thursday, showing interest. They’re already back in the office so the job would require me to be. Said they’re classified as an essential business because most of their advertising is for healthcare. Is this a hard red flag? Really Seems like it.

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up. I'm non-confrontational but year-end reviews are right around the corner and I'm worried about having to act professional to someone who I got too close with and who now hates me.

Looking at full-time and application asks for expected salary and then expected total compensation as a number. How should I figure out the second? Health insurance, bonuses, life insurance, equity, PTO? I studied art, not math.

I recently got a job offer through a company that offered me the high end of what I was asking (75k) but since it is the high end of what I asked for, do I have room to negotiate? Do I have a leg to stand on if I even try negotiating at the point? I have til Friday to fully accept.
