How common is it when people work two jobs in the same field (accounting) and how big of a concern is it in terms of conflict of interest? If one does two jobs, how likely is it that both firms find out about each other? (One firm knows about the second but the second doesnt know about one)

Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.

What should a coder/biller/transcriptionist make with over 15 years of experience? I am currently the only person in the office that can do those jobs with no backup. I code and bill all office visits for 5 orthopedic providers and all surgical coding/billing for 3 surgeons. I also do any transcription that is needed.
