So, after a year of not so quietly making it known that I wanted to make the transition from the tech side to the business side I have officially been extended an offer to take on a Project Manager internally (coming from a software configurer). The client I have been assigned to has many of our products, however, the specific project I have been assigned to is a problem child and has damaged the companies relationship with the client. Any advice for a new, young PM being shoved into a problem?

Any advise on best course of action for case in which manager intentionally blocks promo opportunity (on different team) so they can keep you in role. And then claim that you are not ready for promo (after they initially were all about you being ready)?

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact).
