Looking to learn more about how others determine the correct cadence to advertise for evergreen requisitions or invitations to join a talent pool without over saturating the audience?
Does the word “inclusion” do more harm than good? What if the panel we simply said “Diversity & Equity”? My thought here is that inclusion insinuates that anyone who isn’t in the “majority” needs to feel “included”, which could be somewhat off putting. Shouldn’t the goal be for everyone to feel equal instead of simply feeling included? I’d love to get some opinions on this!
Thinking about moving to Los Angeles. What’s the best neighborhood/area for someone who’s a foodie, wants to be relatively close to the beach, safe neighborhood and does not have a car?

Hi HR community! Anyone have a good “huddle” program they put in place, to surround high potential, high performers? Want to make sure my program encompasses best practices out there.
Hi all - I'm looking for help defining our rating scale in terms of our company values. We rate on a 5-point scale of Unsatisfactory to Exceptional Performance. We rate against four company values and five competencies. It was easy to define the rating scale against the competencies, but I'm having a really hard time defining them for the values. I've tried Googling and everything I find is geared more toward competencies. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I’m looking to get SHRM certified, are the study materials offered through SHRM worth the $800+ ?
Do recommendations on LinkedIn provide any value to potential employers? Do recruiters look at them? What do recruiters look at on a LinkedIn profile?
I’m an HR Generalist. My job is a mix of recruitment and Employee Relations. I find the recruitment aspect to be pretty enjoyable and stress free, but the Employee Relations aspect does often give me a lot of anxiety (I’m a very anxious person to begin with). Recently, it’s been worse because I have several ER cases currently that seem like they could be potentially turning into lawsuits. Do others in ER experience these anxieties? If so, how do you manage them?

Going to Google in 2021. If you’re looking , DON’T give up. It’s timing and tenacity .
How do your companies recognize technical (e.g., STEM) accomplishments? I’ve heard of old school things like fellowships and “Distinguished Engineer” titles. Wondering what other places do now. I’m struggling to see where my path leads if I don’t want to be a people manager and instead focus on becoming a top technical IC instead. Are there clear paths for that anymore?
What do you do on Monday to get your week set up? I feel like I spend so much time helping my team get their pipelines in shape for the week / setting up a plan.
I am a Canadian. I have a wealth of experience in Education and Educational Leadership (Doctoral Level). I am looking for a position in Southern California. I would require sponsorship. Leads? Ideas? Thoughts??
I know titles are an issue in all industries... but can anyone help me understand the difference between the functions of HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, and HR Assistant?
How is your company handling PTO/vacation specifically if it’s a “use it or lose it” policy? Are you still requiring employees to use it in 2020, or will there be leniency to move it to next year?
Does anyone have any study tips or can suggest a helpful study tool for the HRCI SPHR exam? I used BenchPrepHR to help me prep and took a few practice test. I took my exam last week and unfortunately did not pass. Any tips would be helpful to help me prepare to retake in a few months.

Hi!! Did any of you go to business school after a few years of consulting at a T3 to get into MBB? Looking back on it was it worth it? I’m at 3 years of exp (started out of undergrad) at $140k base. It looks like starting salary out of bschool is $170-180k base. Interested to hear about anyone’s experience!

Is the interview process to get into IBD harder or easier than top consulting firms like BCG/McKinsey/Bain? Where do the truly smart people work nowadays?
At my new job, we’re told to get 8 billable hours of work a day on our timesheet. Even when I thought I had a lot to work on, the most I could get was 5 hours. I’m super stressed about getting in trouble, even though I have actively asked for more work. I was unemployed for 9 months during this pandemic and I now I’m super afraid of losing my job again. Is this a normal practice? Idk how I’ll ever consistently have that much work.
Been a week since my interview. Haven't heard anything since the day of. Do I hold on to hope?
At an entry level, do you believe finding a mentor is the best way to advance in advertising? I’ve been out of school for 2 years now and have applied to quite a few entry/mid-level positions at local agencies and have had no luck. I currently work at an acct. firm and would like to move on to an account or strategy position. I believe mentors should stem from a professional relationship, however I can’t say that I have anyone who can mentor me in this space. Any advice?
What is the salary range at first year manager level in big4?

Who has gone for a work green card interview? How long did it take to get called for your interview ?
What the what?! 6 hour delay in DFW, missed all client meetings. Guess I'm a real consultant now?
I got laid off in January and have been trying to find a new job since. I keep making it to the phone interview and sometimes a second interview, but always get ghosted. It’s so disheartening. I have too much experience for an internship, and I have too little to be the top choice for copywriter roles. I know I’m a good writer, I know what I’m capable of, but it’s so exhausting trying to convince people. They always like my book but it’s never enough to get the gig. What can I do?
