Anyone have friends who did Teach For America? What were their experiences like? Would love to hear people’s perspectives, especially in the New York region

Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Hi! For the folks who have recently took the SHRM-CP exam this year, how would you describe the test and any tips you can provide would be helpful!
I’m looking for a screening tool that will assess a candidate’s proficiency with MS-Teams. Would anyone know if there is such a thing that exists?
Does anyone have a dashboard or excel template for turnover/attrition where data can be easily “dumped” in for a beautiful display? TIA!
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.

Need to define diverse talent metrics to create a scorecard. Challenge is that the available data is based on opting in/out of self identification, that data point can change dramatically YOY. Any recommendations on metrics and scorecard?
As a company we are looking at going digital with our employee personnel and medical files etc. What are some of the ways you have done that? Any advice/recommended process?
I am at the 2nd round of my interview for the Recruiter Position for a German Company in Germany. I want to ask what should I prepare for this interview and which situations could they give me to check my Recruitment knowledge? Basic questions have been asked in the first interview.
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!
I’m not happy where I’m at, my abilities aren’t being maximized as I’m spread thin, and I know I’m being undervalued. Recently graduated and in property management w/ 3-4 years sales experience. Currently on the hunt for Sales/Account Management roles leaning more towards consumer goods, then tech. Any advice?
I am a five year experienced professional I do have an experience into HR generalist activities such as onboarding, exits, employees engagement, little on HRBP, offshore HR services, I am not sure how to go about my career from here I am not getting any new good opportunities. Should I get some certification or change my career. I feel on the same experience levels others are more skilled, even though I have good interpersonal skills but I could never get an opportunity to showcase in the role.
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.
Last year was a tough year for my boss so I stepped in to lead our team. We received an award for navigating through crisis and really were able to impact careers in a positive was from our work. My boss gave me a merit raise of 3% yesterday and was very excited to do so. I’m appreciative of the recognized effort however I still make on the lower end of industry standard. What would you recommend? This is my professional gap too - uncomfortable conversations.
Would you change your job for a 25% hike in pay when you are satisfied with your current day to day life. The new job gets you money, promotion and will have challenges to prove your abilities again.
Hey Googlers! Considering making a move and am in the interview process with PSO. Role is great but I’m concerned I’ll be asked to give up remote work. Ok with partial travel to clients but I do not want to go into the office to work more than 1-2x per month. How flexible is Google with this?

Decided to leave the firm even after asking for and getting a counter offer (because of broken promises and general ill will). My counselor/engagement manager asked me to stay 4 weeks (contd.)

How do you continue with work as usual when it seems like the rest of your life is falling apart? I feel like I’m spiraling and just want to quit everything and drive somewhere far away to start over. I have a call with a partner soon and not sure if my usually good at faking enthusiasm self will be able to pull through on this one.
Looking for the best travel hacks out there. Best so far: Hertz CDP can be used for personal rentals, and splitting SPG reservations into sequential 1 day stays to expedite status. What are yours?
I really want to get out of internal HR and move in to a consulting / advisory position but when I review the job descriptions for many advisory roles I immediately take myself out of applying because I don’t have the consulting experience required for higher levels. Anyone from a consulting firm have advice on how to get my foot in the door? I have 10+ years of HR experience.
Hi PwCers: have an intro call coming up for a deals strategy role within pwc. Have more of a financial diligence background but have worked on a few large transactions where I worked closely with CDD. Any tips on how to best position myself in the intro calls? Also what is the difference between Deals Strategy between pwc vs S&? The descriptions seem fairly equal to me. Any input you can share on potential comp for HCOL at the SC level would be helpful as well. Thank you!
Those of you who know you’re NOT getting a bump in salary, no matter how many ATL alerts cross your inbox each day: how did you manage to unsubscribe to the alerts, and why didn’t you convince me to do it weeks ago?
