I have a friend who wants to be a teacher and is considering Teach for America. Any thoughts?

Has anyone left to do something like teach for America? Really really not feeling fulfilled in my day to day work

Thinking of taking a few months to a year off to work for a non-profit. Any suggestions on which ones to apply to? Considering Teach for America or the Peace Corps.
