Hi all,

Looking to join one of the top SAAS companie (Salesforce ,workday etc) in the new year .

I am prepared to take a step back and go back into SDR/BDR. My question is , what is a reasonable time frame until I am promoted to an AE? Assuming I will be a good performer and hit quotas.

I have heard many different answers, speaking to friends of mine in the industry . Please keep in mind I want to be working at one of the larger SAAS companies not necessarily start ups .

I'm looking for ideas on how to better the new hire's onboarding experience on the 1st and 2nd day. For eg: walk them through company mission statements, etc. Also What forms of communication do you use if you do have the orientation? Do you create PowerPoint presentations? Looking for ideas. Thanks so much!! On another note, how is your company getting the new hire to submit their paperwork like tax forms and banking information etc. Do you use a system like Workday/Dayforce?

I am currently a HR Generalist for a small aerospace company, located in CA. I have been in a generalist role for a little over 4 years now and before that, I did recruiting/safety for about 3 years. I am now looking into getting my HR Certification, but am stuck in between the PHR-CA or the SHRM-CP. Does anyone have any recommendations they can give me?

For those in smaller high growth tech companies, where do you turn for resources on org development, engagement, trends, etc.? I’m moving from a large tech org to a a 150 person company. SHRM does not seem relevant at all. Podcasts, social media followings, etc?

Interesting convo with our Founder today. I was asked to think of our HR orgs larger “why.” Why do we do management trainings, surveys, cultural initiatives, business partner meetings, etc. I talked a lot about engagement (physiological safety) and retention (career growth) as examples on why we do what we do / what employees want. He argued there’s a larger purpose (referenced getting on top 50 Forbes companies). My question, as HR leaders, how are you defining this? Am I missing something?

How do you become an enterprise account executive? Do you have to have Saas experience? Or could you have been in sales in a different area? I worked for a real estate brokerage in NY and our team used to do over 250 million in sales a year. I’d average about 75 million. Would that count for anything?

Hi there! Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight on their experience with Amazon job applications. I've applied for 4 roles that I'm VERY confident in, but my applications have been in a "under consideration" status for a month or so. I was even referred for the position by another Amazon employee, which I was told would help.

I'm starting to think that I may not actually be "under consideration", but I figured I'd ask on here! Is this common?

My background is 12+ years in customer/client experience, coaching, sales, and account management. I’m finishing a Lv7 executive coaching course and starting a CIPD Lv5 people management course.

Any ideas on what roles I can start with? Don’t care if it’s a simple role, getting in with a good company is important.

Started with a new company back in March of this year, and after having a handful of managers at my old company that were solid with personal development of their employees, my current manager at the new company could use work in that area…it’s non-existent. For anyone in NYC, are you concerned about safety when taking the subway? Our office is starting a hybrid model soon and I’m personally fine with going in a few days a week, but have recently heard about more and more safety concerns on the subway. I'm currently a medical scribe with background in risk analytics and business development(switched from finance to medicine) and currently trying to get into a clinical trial assistant role. Last year, I had spoke to professionals who say I have the skills and experience to join, but due to my lack of clinical experience, I was unable to join. I'm getting maternity photos taken in ~6 weeks, and I always go to a pro to get makeup, etc, done for photos. I'm not good at doing this myself

That being said, the makeup place I normally go to is only doing eye/brow stuff due to Covid restrictions. What is a good, easy, ridiculously simple/few items needed tutorial I can go to to do the rest of my face?
