Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
Are you allowing employees to work for any length of time abroad, if you don’t have an office in that country? If so, for how long? If not, do you just say NO upfront?
What’s a good way to advocate for yourself as an employee? I struggle with how to make the work I’m completing/my efforts sound impactful.
NEW TECHNOLOGY ALERT! I just received a Beta link to try out an upcoming feature in Pipedrive. They added the ability to prospect from their Leads tab digitally. You put in the search criteria, and their search engine will go out and pull in contacts or companies based on your search. From there, you can add the lead to your leads section. The person-based leads I have found thus far have had an email address, phone numbers, and LinkedIn links. Give it a look if you can. It is pretty neat.
Hi- does anyone have a good partner review process? Three owners, private firm - trying to provide meaningful review process for them separate from our usual process. TIA!
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
Running a 360 process for a company. If one of my managers ask me to provide peer feedback on them - should I?
Is your company still expecting you to sell like there isn’t a pandemic going on, or is it just mine?
Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
It feels weird posting a LinkedIn post in FishBowl, but I found this post from Jamal very insightful. I would have just copied the text, but I want to give him credit.
Let's see what we are all making. Include current salary, location, industry, and YoE please. Reply using your title. I'm going first in the comments.
Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
Have you ever experienced workplace trauma? If so, how did it impact your personal life and mental health?
Any advice on how to transition into an HRBP role from an HR Specialist role? I’ve developed these strategic and partnering skills from 6 years of working within the HR specialist realm but I’m having trouble with marketing this in my resume/LinkedIn.
I am looking for best practices in reducing anxiety in the workplace, especially for remote workers. What are you all doing?
I’ve been tasked right off the bat with implementing Facebook Workplace as an engagement/communication tool. I looked it up and seems fairly easy, especially as a facebook user. But as with anything it can be a challenge to get employees to actually use/check it. So-- does anyone have experience with Facebook Workplace? If so, what are some things that have worked/didn't work for you. Do you like it?
Anyone have experience using Oura Ring to track sleep? Looking at Oura vs Fitbit to track those night were I waking up dreaming about pipeline, clients, things i needed to do, etc.
I'm in software sales, and pretty new to it. I like sales, and want a career in it, but I'm wondering what other industries have lucrative sales careers.
How’s KPMGs People and Change practice? Been talking to recruiters, but don’t know much about them... anyone move there from other Big 4?
Just started at Deloitte, their training seems super anal about using the corporate Amex rather than a personal card - is it just a scare tactic?
What is the expected jump in salary from SC to M in advisory in normal circumstances ? I can adjust it for COVID later.

What are you favorite apps to setup exercise programs with progression? Limited equipment and space at home (just a couple of dumbbells I somehow scrounged up from my parents house). Thinking of maybe aaptiv or Fitbod? Anything else?
When I apply for new positions at larger Corp companies, the only feedback I get back is my resume is too creative. But I’m applying for creative roles. How do I make me resume less creative ?
If you leave after the fiscal year ends, but before the bonus check date, will you still get bonus?
All this ASL stuff seems like a waste of time. Let's cut to the chase and organize a fishbowl meetup in NYC for singles only. Once people say they're interested, we can start an email chain and put a face to the 'name.' Whose in?
Anyone currently slammed advising hospitals and payers on COVID-19?? What are you seeing in the market?
Dear client, When using data matching with a DLP solution and you find a "false positive" on a value, don't argue that it's still a false positive when it matches the junk values in your data source.
