22 attempts at the CPA exam?!? Bruh…

Anyone else long on AMT?
The LinkedIn headers have gone too far now

Quite literally the worst thing i’ve ever seen

This is our bowl leader
Not cringey but funny as hell.

Not Linkedin but also cringe

Cringe or nah (pt1)?

LinkedIn is the new Facebook I see. 😖

I mean more power to them, I think I’d have stopped at 21 attempts so goes to show that this person has real perseverance
Some people aren’t good test takers into adulthood. I support anyone who doesn’t give up until they succeed.

A1, you are clearly not cynical and jaded enough for this bowl. We aren’t looking for hope and courage here 😄

“I grew relentless” 🤔
Pretty sure my parents would have told me to stop after number 9….”honey, maybe it’s time to explore other fields….”
I actually just asked my mom and she said after 3 times she would have told me to stop 😂
Yeah i don’t think I’d want that guy to be doing my taxes 👀
22 I hope

You suckers studied. She just took the test enough times to where statistically even a person with no knowledge could pass.
Yea they studied by taking the actual exam over and over. Best way to get real sample questions.
what is "not a good test taker"? like people that know the material and still get an answer wrong when being asked about said material?
Probably. Depends on the school though.
I know ppl that had classes where exams were not much of their grades it was mostly group projects and papers

I can’t hate on this 78-year old gentleman for attempting several times to pass their CPA exam. That takes true grit (if that story is true). Salute 🫡
He’s not 78 years old, he scored a 78
Who the hell would hire a CPA who failed 21 times and then only passed with a 78? He/she should have memorized the damn test questions by test #5! 🤣
EY.
Saw this in my feed also.
Oh you mean you struggle with that part where they try to figure out what you know? Give me a break

A1, you know how the numbering of messages works here, no? If not, well, this is hysterical
Graduated with 3.5 & 3.9 GPA’s but took 22 attempts to pass all 4 exam sections?
Something doesn’t add up. You would think they be a strong test taker, or grade inflation?
Meeting with HR coming real soon my guy!

I’m a strong believer in making fun of people that post cringy things, including my own coworkers if their idiocy outweighs my devotion to the team….which it does here.
The only thing worse than this LinkedIn post, is the fact someone at my firm used the post to complain that raises are not keeping up with inflation. Enjoy.
EY1, can confirm this is what GTs bowl looks like.
The guy clearly needed to slow down and study rather than continuously sign up and paying the exam fee if he felt unprepared. The lack of common sense is scary.
Rising Star
Yep. If you’re lucky your firm with reimburse your materials and one exam fee for each part. But I know people at small firms that need to buy their own materials and pay their own fees.
How much would it cost to take it 22 times?
Yeah I believe Becker bundle was around $4,000
Personally, if I failed once, I wouldn't have posted anything. 22!

But he’s an audit senior something at ey 😳🤨
Are employers privy to the number of attempts?
Only if you post it on LinkedIn 🤣
