A realtor reached out on Facebook about a rental property not yet on the market. After touring, we wanted to apply but the owner, also a real estate agent, denied our opportunity to apply, saying previous tenant extended the lease ( but the place is empty). I am suspecting FHA violation as we are minorities. Should I file a HUD complaint first or talk to the brokerage company first? I want to see proof of that lease extension. It's super weird. First time we have experience of discrimination.
