Make sure to escalate delays early and often. People get delayed for almost types of reasons and it's not your fault or even their fault sometimes but it's important that the delays are visible to project leadership. Value-add comes when you have a proactive plan or solution instead of just stating the problems.
PMO is a tough role TBH, especially as in an analyst-type position. Many times you’re asking people to do work that they won’t want to do (status update slides, tracker updates, other project admin type stuff), but is critical for leadership on both the client and EY side. Put yourself in the functional workstream shoes and try to make these tasks as painless as possible (sit down with them to help get things completed), know when to ask them to do things, etc etc
Attention to detail. Anticipate wants and needs after you get familiar with where you are at. Manage up. And luck. Pmo is a thankless job.
