I've been trying to update my resume with my last 5 years of experience and I'm completely overwhelmed. At this point I just need to hire a resume writer. I need someone who can talk to me about my experience and actually write the resume, not just edit an existing resume. Does anyone have a recommendation? Is ResumeSpice worth the money?

10k isn’t much of a bump when you break it out and u can always use that as leverage with your current company to get an increase
Be careful about doing this--I never recommend trying to get your company to counter offer unless you are truly willing to take the leap. They might turn you down, and then if you decide to stay anyway, you end up looking bad.
10K is not worth making a switch over (unless you have a very strong bonus structure to go with it).
I recently made a switch from a comfy role, great manager, a team I loved. It was worth it because I got a crazy pay hike, but I still miss the comfort of my prior job.
If your job is slow paced, focus on picking up hobbies, learning, certifications, upskilling, etc.
Make a job switch when the parallel comp justifies it.
Also, try to pick up some internal projects if that’s feasible.
Core recruitment can be dry and transactional, and the only aspects of my prior roles that I remember fondly are the projects I did- DEI, process automation, analytics, etc.
When you’re ready to make a job switch- you’ll have a broader portfolio to talk about.
I’d stay in the WFH role all day. 10k more isn’t worth it to have a hybrid role AND have to travel. Pass.
Forreal not doing that for 10k
Stay!!! Or can I have your job hahah

Based on what you have shared, I would stay in your current role and use this offer to either negotiate your compensation up or talk to your manager about your development needs and how you would like to build new muscle within the company. $10k is very little in comparison to the decreased flexibility and the cost of commute and travel, IMO. Never chase the money unless it comes with a very big opportunity to advance yourself and the trade off is a smart investment.
Would you be open to messaging me the name of your company?
Me too! I want something like this for my sanity
Personally, I would keep a fully WFH job even with the lesser pay.
10k after taxes is not worth having to travel to work and start over with a new job
Where do you work? I need a job like yours!
$10K with taxes is actually more like $6K/12 months. Maybe you get about $500 more a month. With gas prices and etc, is it worth it? Probably not. But perhaps the bonus target is great?
Don’t leave a nice job, manager and company you like for a small increase. Rarely have I heard this as a good choice from anyone that’s done it. I speak from experience- wrong career move for me but lucky I got another job within months of making the wrong move.
I mean that’s just one offer! Don’t you think there are so many other companies that would still give you the pay bump and still keep you at a WFH? Keep looking!
Also how much travel is actually required?? Did they give you a % or is it just for quarterly meetings?
to leave a WFF job with an awesome manager for another WFH job, you'd want a 15% raise. probably 25% extra to go to an office is what youd need to consider.
Decided to follow everyone’s advice, I did not take the job opportunity and have taken on extra projects within the DEI space
My suggestion is to talk to your current manager and ask for a shift in your work. Stretch projects may lead to a promotion and something you can enjoy in your current company.
I would pay $38 a day to be able to WFH.
Team WFM over here but you should weigh out you personal priorities.
You probably have already explored this but would the new job allow you to be WFH as long as you travel?
Stay.10k is nothing after taxes
I don't think I would leave for 10k more. If you can negotiate like 15-20k more then maybe. But good managers are hard to come by .
I’m in a similar work situation…. What do you do to pass the time?! I feel guilty pulling out a coloring book 😬

Enjoy it! I keep tellling my team try to enjoy the down time while you can, see friends, see family, enjoy life because when it’s over you will miss it.
