All this is a bit moot without seeing other benefits in context. As an aside, LETS also COMPARE BENEFITS OF THE BEHEMOTHS ie Publicis vs Omnicom vs WPP vs ...
Especially since the work is often pretty much the same (it’s all advertising, folks).
Publicis offers 3 week’s vacay (15 days) plus 9 “flex” days (giving a total of 24 days PTO). Plus unlimited sick days and many pre-and-post public holidays. But not the days between Christmas and New Year. And no summer Fridays. No comp days. And scant or no pay rises (as if that was new).
What about the other companies?
End of the day, when you go for a job, these things are worth money. So if you can, negotiate UP in case you never get a pay raise again...it happens.
That’s not a blanket truth across all Publicis agencies.
At LB we also have: the week between Xmas and NYE, as well as Summer Days.
Unlimited vacation and sick days, 100% covered health insurance, 401k, stocks, free breakfast/lunch/dinner, covered commute/parking and $2000 in free products each year. In-house.
I’m pretty sure Publicis groups is only three weeks vacation on the third calendar year you’ve been there - otherwise it’s 2.
McCann (first time IPG for me) 18 PTO/sick as an ACD. Off between Xmas & NYE. (4) full day Summer Fridays.
S&S U1: it depends on your seniority. I got the 15 days off the bat plus those other flex days etc. I’m just curious to see how Omnicom et al compares
Vacation days promised is a useless number. Can you actually take the days and stay in good standing with client and employer is the real factor
I️ used to have unlimited vacation days at my old job - seems great but we were too busy to take them and then you don’t get paid out anything. Publicis NY has really good time off - varies by level/time there but min is 12 PTO, 3 floating, 8 sick, 18.5 office closures (including Xmas break) and usually a 4 day summer Friday. All of Publicis Groupe has a 401k that vests 25% per year, applicable to any Groupe agency. They do some matching up to 5% Insurance plans are great too.
@LB1 that’s what I mean... thx for showing us what you get!
Damn @AD1 you have a good setup
Ya what the heck that's amazing @AD1
“Unlimited vacation” is the biggest con this side of the HR fence. If another person pipes up about it as if it’s a perk I’ll scream. It’s just a clever psychological trick that basically amounts to even less PTO days taken than the standard entitlement because you have to beg for them. And you end up begging even for the standard entitlement of 2 weeks. It basically means the company saves money. If you leave they owe you nada
how are each of these on working from home? I’m surprised it’s not more common
