I have worked as data engineer in service based companies and mostly worked on informatica and IBM datastage , SQL, Teradata currently doing trainings on python and GCP. I need guidance on how/where to prepare for typical data engineering profile to crack interviews in Faang/Maang or other good product based companies.

I think something is wrong with the way I wrote my resume. Get dinged without an interview for a few roles (S&O, biz ops, nothing crazy) but when I send my resume directly to hiring managers I now have two final rounds scheduled? HYP undergrad, H/S MBA, McK Sr EM, previous tech experience 😑

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

I usually think it's because Agile's method is what everyone thinks works but so much stuff across all tech areas seems to be released broken and then never fixed or fixed way too slowly. I recently took up a Customer Success Manger role at a engineering software company. Previously I was a Project Manager at the same company but wanted to move out of my engineering services role. I primarily took this role hoping to get exposure to providing SaaS services as company is transitioning at software cloud.
