Any agencies in Amsterdam hiring?
ACD writers, how hands-on are your works?
We're looking for a Senior AD who wants to produce lots of TV with crazy talented writers, a great REMOTE work-life balance and very few layers. You'll have access to C level daily. Most briefs are one, sometimes two teams and you'll produce what gets bought. Sound good?
If so please send your CV to Jsimotics@digobrands.com.

I’m confused by your title. Are you an editor? If so, most agency side editor jobs are case studies. And there are A LOT of them. But the good case study editors get tapped for the rare fun in house edit jobs too. Or the spec pitch spots.
Just trying to understand - when you say “worked editing commercials” do you mean you were an editor? Because if that’s the case, I’m not sure how that translated to an ACD role in the first place.
Yes. Very untraditional path. But I did direct, CD, and copy-write various projects in my career as well. Good at taking creative lead and working with other creatives to take ideas from boards to screen. Def not your usual situation though, I realize. Been at it for about 2 years now and think I’m good in the role, but I’m def not building up an amazing portfolio with the type of work I’m on
FYI copywriting isn’t hyphenated (just want you to blend in in your new role)
Maybe if the place is a specialty shop. I think I’ve seen job descriptions like yours on LinkedIn. I would think you’d need a broader understanding of strategy, mediums and experience especially today. Also could depend on market.
Don’t the creatives who did the campaign usually oversee the case study? Are things different at your agency or are you still editing as well, and getting put on mostly case studies that way?
It’s weird, and honestly varies team to team, but it’s very much a collaborative effort. I will often rewrite scripts, come up with visuals, oversee the edits and the animation, sometimes even do a pickup shoot
I think if your book is just the case studies and not the actual concepting of the ideas you’ll have trouble getting hired as an ACD at an agency. Regardless of your career path they’ll need to see roughly 6 campaigns you concepted, created and executed. The editing and excellence on case studies would be icing on the cake
Right, that’s my fear. There are other videos I’ve owned, but not exactly campaigns either. It’s a pretty frustrating position honestly...think I’d be better off moving back over to the vendor side after this stint
