Am I a failure? I've got 5+ YOE and have been applying to admin jobs since I was laid off in April. Done tons of interviews, and still no offers. I even tried pivoting into project management, but no luck yet. How’s the market treating you?

I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
