Any benefits to keeping funds in my 401K and not rolling it over to Fidelity, etc.? All I can think of is should I ever need a hardship withdrawal/loan for some unforeseen circumstance. Any strategies others use to decide how much to keep vs. rolling out?

I know that the memo rescinding DACA was ultimately vacated—but OC is unsure whether this would count as voluntary unemployment for child support purposes. I have a Fidelity Brokeragelink account for my 401k. Every other year I switch from pre and post tax contributions. My money is spread over 3 ETFs currently. Does anyone know how this is tracked? Say if $100k is traditional 401k and $100k is Roth 401k, but they’re mixed, how can Fidelity track what funds are Roth/traditional? If I’m up 300% in ARKK, how can I or anyone else at fidelity tell if the cost basis was pre or post tax contributions?
