Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

That sounds low for a company of their size - I’d think they’re paying their EAs at least 75k or better but maybe I’m wrong
I had the same thought - especially when I know smaller companies pay their EAs more
You don't say where you're located, but that seems low. I interviewed at TD for an EA role in San Francisco, and the top range was $120,000. In terms of compensation, I've seen that a lot of large companies are well on the lower end of pay. I've seen numerous listings on LinkedIn for JPMorgan where the range was $75-95 in San Francisco. Most companies pay much morel
That seems very lowball unless you don't have much prior experience. I'd ask for 85K at min. They'll probably come back with 80. Honestly it should be 100k.
It depends on where you're located. I'm in SE Michigan and that sounds about right for this area.
I'm in Toronto. And I think it's low too but I wanted to know if that was just me.
I would go in with it lower than my pay now... The security at my company now is just rocky and I would rather move where I know I'd be for a long time.
Fair enough.
