Any ex agency strategists now working at a consulting firm? If so, what triggered the switch and what's it like?

Anyone switched from B4 audit to advisory (ex. management consulting, deal advisory)? How did you start networking / get the opportunity? Any advice?

I have an associate's degree in graphic design and work designing wedding stationery. I've been at my company since 2016, and am now a design consultant - speaking to customers directly and creating custom artwork and designs for them. I know I'm underpaid (50k/year in the SF Bay Area) but I thought the benefits and stability were worth it. I'm now severely burnt out (most of my team is) and not sure which way to go, or how to grow. Any tips/advice?

I landed what has been my dream job for years - a position at a music law firm - despite having no experience in the industry and no transactional background. My parents think I am committing career suicide by leaving Big Law so soon and working with non Ivy Leaguers. I think I’ve landed a once in a lifetime opportunity and can swing the pay cut since I have no student debt. Thoughts?

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Not sure if that’s a typical caseload or not?
