What agencies are hiring financial analyst
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.
What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

You can request advanced annual leave. Since it is a short time you should be good because you can't be advanced more than you would accrue before the end of the leave year (01/11/25).
I was fronted a weeks leave once while my actual leave was transferring between agencies (had switched jobs about 2 months prior, typical federal delays)
Not sure the logistics though, I just asked my supervisor and office admin and they made the magic happen.
My hr partner said I think you are okay with 2 days access . Also don’t forget your cultural days
Yep! They're trying to say I didn't have it and force me to pay back half of my vacation. I've been fighting it for six months now.
At my agency (HUD), with your manager's permission, you can go negative up to 40 hours.
Depends on the Agency, but you may be able to work Credit Hours before leaving and use a combination of Annual and Credit for your vacation.
You shouldn’t have any problems as long as you get the leave approved. If you’re short, they just won’t pay you for the full two week period or for the time that you take and don’t have accrued. If you have accrued sick leave, you MAY be able to use that but it all depends on what and how they approve.
I think it’s fine, so long as you’ll make up the balance by the end of the year. If not, you could probably take leave without pay for the hour. I’d check with HR.
Yes. If your leave is approved, you should be okay. You might also ask for leave without pay (LWOP), and just not be paid for that one hour. Most supervisors will not argue over one hour of any kind of leave.
Agree with one of the other commenters: it's a bank of pay that has allows for a bit of flexibility, depending on your Agency and management. One hour can be made up within a single pay period, so reasonably sure they won't make you go without pay, so the upcoming annual leave in your next pay cycle will reflect that hour of leave.
About this time of year, government agencies are usually warning about Use or Lose dates.
Some Fed Agencies have a pool of donated sick and annual leave for emergencies, but doubt this would qualify...
Best thing you can do is keep HR in communication. If they need to dock you an hrs pay, whatever....right? But having them audit and have the systems do dastardly things, then getting in trouble for it.... could be problematic.
Some govt entities let other coworkers "donate" time to other employees for instances like this, or medical leave, and whatnot.
call in sick one of the days at the beginning or end of the leave
In case anyone comes across the same issue.. my timekeeper was able to process an advance leave request for the hour, thankfully didn’t end up becoming a huge deal
