I started getting acupuncture for anxiety, depression, headaches, and chronic muscle tightness. It works wonders. Highly recommend.
Looooved it. Only thing that provided relief after my car accident. Try it!
EY1 it worked on a my friend’s dog. I saw it limping and dragging its legs, came back a few days later it was walking normally. Owner said she took it to get acupuncture. Sample set of one, but that convinced me to get my shoulder done. That could be placebo, but the dog wasn’t. Either way glad my shoulder works now
I swear by it. From aches and pains to serious help with anxiety/depression. Some insurance plans cover it, some don't. But it is recognized as an approved medical expense so you can use your HSA (if you have one) and at least get the visits tax free.
Acupuncture is my go to for chronic allergies and sinus infections which I get twice a year. No more antibiotics and days of severe pain - as soon as I go later that day I will start to feel relief and everything starts flowing again. Insurance does not cover it but at $65 a session the other benefit - an hour where my entire body relaxes makes it a no brainer. I have also done cupping but I have to day the relief factor there isn't as significant.
Yup, chronic shoulder pain restricted range of motion. Couple treatments and full range of motion and significant pain reduction. It’s particularly good for pain relief.
My dad is a licensed acupressure n acupuncture therapist. His disciples and patients swear by it, but I have my own reservations. Could be a placebo.
Does insurance cover it?
Hmm good point!
How did you guys find a reputable one?
Helped me with pain after a car accident. McK1 I was rec'd by a family member, but I know there are yelp reviews!
Its pseudo science but the placebo effect is real. If it works for you then it works.
I did it for my back and sinuses. Didn't work for my back, but I also didn't go regularly. For my sinuses, I had immediate relief of pressure and post-nasal drip! I had a friend who used it as a last resort to get pregnant before trying in vitro, and it worked for her- the 6 month old is proof!
