Any insights into what it’s like to work at Point B senior level? Work, culture, growth potential?

I interviewed with them a long time ago, and it would have been a pay cut, as well as not getting paid for non-billable hours. When I started telling them that if I’m taking on the risk of not being paid when not billable that I’d want a higher hourly rate rather than a lower one, they lost interest in me.

I did get the sense that whatever their equivalent is for “making partner” is very, very hard to do there. From what I saw, it is really geared towards working mothers and other people who want zero travel and flexible / part time hours, and I expect most of the roles are solo or very small teams.

Interesting - this is a senior “post partner” role so interested to see - more interested in culture and work and your point about that was v interesting - what did they say about the culture?

Currently working as a finance analyst II for a fortune 100 company in a corporate finance role. I'm looking for a job where I can utilize my soft skills more, whether that's in sales (tech or medical), consulting as a business development representative, or some sore of client relationship role for an investment bank. I have about 2 years of full-time experience. Any recommendations for exit ops?

Anyone’s con Ed bill extraordinarily high this month? Mine is ~$400. I’ve gotten mail notice from con Ed needing to install a “smart meter” and for every month missed it’s a $100 fee. But I think they’re waiving the fees. It’s so damn confusing to read if the high bill is due to missing the smart meter installation or energy usage.

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

At what point do you draw the line on WLB? Working insane hours on a long/term project with what feels like no end in sight. It’s not sustainable but clearly expected. Could you get fired for drawing lines in the sand and saying (example) “come 8:30 every night I’m logging off”. That’s a 65 hour work week as-is but I currently am up until midnight working consistently. For context I’ve been rated as a strong performer consistently and am not new to the job so it’s not a lack of understanding.

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
