@OP - I do not believe you will see changes that are so recent. You may see changes that went into effect January 1st, but not last week. Their questions are pooled from a database and I don't believe that someone is there to update weekly changes.

But would you think they'd look for the answer with the most recent changes? Meaning, for example there is no longer the two-step impairment. So depending if they've updated the test or not, there could potentially be a discrepancy with the "correct" answer

OP, wasn't the two step impairment test removed only for private companies? I believe this FASB amendment was an AICPA change and not a PCAOB change.
SEC filers required to adopt by 2019. Hence my confusion with when things are changed within the testing. Thanks for your responses.. I'm sure this is just a small thing that won't matter in the scope of the whole exam!
