Any tips on how to meet a minimum CC spend for points bonus? Don’t think I’ll naturally hit it for my AMEX and don’t want to lose out on the points

My landlord suspended the fees for paying rent with a CC during COVID

like

Amazing!

Not sure if you saw, but AMEX is extending their window to meet minimum spend for a sign up bonus because of COVID, maybe in that additional 3 months you can hit the minimum?

like

Just called Amex and they confirmed this! Thanks EY 1.

You could Venmo a family member the amount from the CC and have them send it back to you. You’d lose money on the % fee that Venmo charges for sending money via CC, but that may be worth it depending on what the points bonus is

May not be the best method out there..but something to think about if you are way under your normal spending due to COVID

Assuming this isn’t specifically prohibited in the bonus offer, you could buy a bunch of gift cards for things you’re certain to use.

You can then use those gift cards to create a money order and pay your rent lol

funny

Pay your rent with it

Reload your Amazon account with gift cards

I’ll happily do some spending for you, as long as you foot the bill!!!

Both in tech in the Bay Area. I’m in Arizona visiting family and am thinking of an investment property. Does anyone have a book/course/video that they personally have used and recommend for flipping houses? I want to do some research there’s a lot of content out there.

I recently bought my 1st home in TX. I want to get into real estate and eventually own/rent out multiple homes. Are there any good recommendations/tips on books/articles/websites that others have used to get started?

I've read about HELOC and cash out refinance to get a 2nd home but articles are so scattered that it gets confusing which is better in terms of tax benefits and immediate costs, etc. Anything others have found helpful that summarized how to get started would be great!

Without providing the reason why and any instructions on how to do so, just saying it’s in its in the bundle prepared, just file it yourself. I cant even figure out how to file it on my own. Not sure what to do at this point, anyone had experience with this? I am thinking to add a bad review and just mail the tax form...I know I procrastinated too
