Hello all, I have an offer from Quantiphi and another famous travel company which is building a technical arm for themselves. Both the companies are offering same compensation. HRs are calling for offer acceptance. I am leaning towards Quantiphi as the culture is well known to me.
But I have to decide soon. Should I accept both the offers and then decline one at the time of joining. I am new to this and find this a little unethical. Can someone help?
My father passed away last week. I had wills written up for him, he has a small c corp, and we don’t live in a community property state. Mom’s still with us, fortunately.
Besides informing social security, filing a life insurance claim, getting a death certificate, flagging his credit card, and starting the probate process, is there anything else I need to do immediately (in a financial/regulatory sense)?
I’ve been following the guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/personalfinance/wiki/death_of_loved_one/ but others guidance is always appreciated.
Is there a United status challenge?
Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!

Spare glasses and/or contacts, if you wear 'em. Any meds you take (but I assume you thought of that if you thought of supplements). Razor (if you have facial hair and/or shave other areas). Snacks--something you eat when at home--so you don't depend on room service in emergencies or when you're working from the hotel room, and so you have a taste of home.
Depending on whether the war room will be on the same floor as your hotel room, you should consider bringing a monitor with you (or at least a portable monitor) for your room so that you can handle things from your room if they pop up after you’ve already left the war room.
I also always bring my own keyboard and mouse. Unless you have no preference on those, I highly recommend bringing them- nothing worse than a mouse that clicks too loudly or a keyboard that you’re not used to.
You should be able to get laundry done at the hotel but pack more clothes and shoes than you think you may need. You can always have them shipped there/back if you don’t want to pack another suitcase (your paralegal should be able to get you a FedEx box that you can have sent ahead of you or picked up from the hotel when you leave).
Basic sewing kit and travel first aid kit- these can be lifesavers. I never thought I would need them, but I have needed both at different trials.
