Boutique vs T2? All else equal
Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

I've been a soccer (football) fan all my life, and around 2011 Shakira and Pique started dating, at the same time, Madrid and Barcelona coaches were drama queens. Every single sport outlet shifted their attention to Shakira and the non-soccer related news, I'd say it changed how media outlets covered the sport, they basically became TMZ.
However, the following 3-4 years were the most exciting years and the best football I've ever watched since I started in the mid 90s despite the garbage media. What happened on the pitch was not overshadowed by all the crap that happened outside.
So like I said in another comment, if a singer can ruin a sport, the sport was already ruined or someone is just bitch*ng.

I love her. She’s actually a girl that got famous over talent instead of being like say… Kim K, or those Tik Tokers. She’s America’s sweetheart it’s a perfect cross over and more girls should look up to her.

Respectfully disagree with C1. Obviously the Kim K and Tik Tok comparisons are easy. But there are also plenty of other talented singers. TayTay built her career and distinguished herself by spinning up sympathy based on her manufactured victim mentality, with constant press (and songs) about how her myriads of boyfriends, Kayne, Kim, Scooter, and this seemingly unending parade of others relentlessly persecuting her. She talks about the virtues of being a strong woman but built her career on anything but. There’s no disputing her talent and her #1 sales record and her amazing fan base that’s literally peerless (sorry Beyhive). And yes, the paying the truck drivers $100k is very cool. But no, I don’t consider parts of her story role model material and I tell my daughters to look to others in this regard.
But they don’t make it a whole mystique about themselves to create a new song about every new ex and to keep people guessing about what she’s going to dish on.

Football is dead anyways, viewership has been declining every year. She is bringing people back to football. Since when have people talked about football so much?
Viewership might be declining but considering the rapid increase in the 1990s and 2000s, it’s not a big deal. It’ll likely plateau.
But more importantly for the NFL, the league’s revenue increase last years compared to 2021 and reached an all-time-high of $11.9 billion annually. So I don’t think they’re worried.
Regardless, this is good for football. Especially since the NFL needs to figure out how to better engage women. About 47% of NFL fans are women and the league has consistently overlooked us. Not to mention our buying power
How is she ruining football? Did you see the jersey sales from the past week alone? If anything, she might just recover the loss of fans and add new ones that were lost over the recent years from the Kaepernick kneeling and political agendas that turned many fans off. (No, I'm not a Swiftie either)
