anyone got a great tool they use to keep track of their messy mind? I wish I could just ctrl+f my brain so anything that works like that and doesn’t rely on structured organisation (so not Notion..)

Personal database, notepad, to do list, project tracker, journal - all auto synched with my Google calendar.

It's fast, can drag and drop attachments. Move anything around, up down left right by mouse dragging or keyboard shortcuts

I use it on laptop and phone. I see everything everywhere, all synched up

Technical answer: read about data theory and database design, there are many types. One is a hierarchical index. Branches can be completely different from each other.

Free your mind and don't try to create structure. Just write down all your mess of thoughts. Then you can look at it all, drag and drop in order or groups. Add and remove etc.

It has a ton of features. But the basic is just like using a notepad. It just so happens that each line is a bulleted item that can be organized however way you want.

I like it because the overhead is low. I don't have to waste time clicking items and creating rules for stuff. I can just slap down whatever pops into my head immediately


OneNote for due outs and notes on due outs, separate tabs for each project I’m on. I have a tab I check each day called “To Do” where I list what projects need my attention

Trello for PM of my more involved/large projects

Started on 20 my vyvanse about 1.5 years ago always taking weekends and vacations off. Lately it just hasn’t been enough and considering upping the dose but a piece of me wants to avoid this, any advice?


Been looking into getting medication (adderall) after doctor suggested I talk to a specialist for a prescription. Seeing all these online docs that charge $200-300 for initial appt then $100 a month..


32F, recently diagnosed, currently writing a doctoral dissertation and will be joining consulting in . Had doubts about taking medication. But I first had a 10 mg Adderall yesterday and worked on my dissertation for 17 hours.

I've been dragging writing this dissertation FOREVER (data collected back in 2018). In the past 5 years I’ve been a doctoral student , I have never focused on writing for more than 3 hours a day. I think I can finish this eventually.


I have my First coaching session next week after my recent diagnosis (ADHD Combined Type). Anybody done this before? Best approach? How donI get the most out of this?


Movers are coming tomorrow and I have procrastinated packing the miscellaneous drawers and whatnot. My lack of organization becomes very apparent when I pull out 10 different categories of things from one drawer. Chuck 25% and the rest gets put in a box to the new place. Anyone else feel that packing for a move is harder than it should be?

Was on adderall throughout college, but didn’t like how my body responded to it. After joining the workforce full-time, I think I need to start medication again. Any softer meds that work for you?


Any recommendations on how to deal with nausea from Strattera/atomoxitine? I do much better on the meds but don't take them because of the side effects. I can't tolerate Adderall or Ritalin.

How do you all deal with the like, inability to start things and get motivated in the absence of an imminent deadline? Sometimes I feel like I can’t “activate” my brain without wild amounts of stress :/

Has anyone developed IBS from their ADHD medication? Lately, I’ve been experiencing IBS like symptoms and wondering if it’s been caused by my adderall


Anyone really struggle with lectures? I find it challenging to do online trainings when I have to listen to an hour of a recording of someone talking over a PPT.

I always end up 2x speed, which helps, but even then I manage to get distracted. I find it way more efficient to read materials on my own.

If anyone has strategies to make things like this more bearable I’m all ears! 🙏🏼


How do you learn what accommodations you personally need?
I don’t know how else to say like I need a project management tool like department wide since Our own projects are lacking effective/efficient project management. work is so disorganized and we are putting bandaids in concrete cracks. They won’t hire more analysts fast enough to shift the workload.
I’m new (started this yr) and its impossible to learn how to do my job/platform and to ACTUALLY do my job within 8 hrs across 3 projects


I have sooo much work to do but im in bed stressing about all the work I need to do, not doing the work 🙄


Has anyone had any luck with ADHD coaching apps like Inflow?


Is it normal for Ritalin 5-10mg to feel ineffective? Don't feel focused, alert or awake.

I feel worse when taking it. Not sure if I need to push myself for a few days if it gets better?

Right now, I'm hesitant to take it after just two days since I feel crappy on it.


*Methylphenadite makes you more dyslexic.* I've been analysing this hypothesis for over a year now. As a late diagnosis, I'm quite certain when I started taking meds, despite never having this issue before, I would misspell words and say the completely wrong words without realising. I saw the same thing with a colleague on stimulants doing exactly the same i.e. say dollars when they meant euros. Other late diagnosed people, what is your experience?

I’m great a vision and high level planning. I hate dealing with the intricate details at the next level and monitoring progress, especially during periods of low motivation/burnout which I’ve come to associate with my ADHD. Is this something you all deal with? If so, how do you manage?
